There's a reasonably priced Spider 29er up on the bay. I've never previously considered a 29er before, but what the heck, why not, right?

Problem is the size is large and that pertains to a 24.75" top tube. That's huge to me, where 23.5 is just about ideal but I've ridden larger and smaller ones. I wasn't sure if sizing figures get knocked about because it's a 29er though. In other words, do bikes fit differently with big wheels, or are things GENERALLY the same despite the monster wheels?

Generally the same, however the Intense was designed under the original school of thought that a 29er had to have a super steep HTA to steer correctly...this obviously will stretch out the tt all things being equal. That said...24.75 is pretty ginormous.

What is your height/ bike inseam?

5'11", about 32" maybe 32.5. I normally ride a 23.5, like I said, but it looked like a good deal.

I previously rode a cdale prophet that I was swimming in. I think it was a 24.5" TT with a mega 120mm stem. May not have been so bad with a much shorter stem, but I never got the opportunity. I think I'll pass on this, 24.75 is mega big.

24" sure, 24 3/4" is pushing it...

unless there's some sort of voodoo that you do with 29ers that you don't do with itty bitty wheels.
