Hey guys I am having some problems with my Intense tires. I have a World Cup 2.5 60 duro and a 909 2.7 60 duro and they both wont seat properly on the rim. They have a terrible wobble. I had an Intense 2.7 DH last year and it didnt have this problem. Do you guys have any advice? Thanks for your help.

Install like a tubeless. Soapy water on the rim and pump it up hard until the bead pops into place. Then air down to what you want.

I had the same problem with Dh 2.4 I wet rim with soapy water and pump it up hard, thing did get better but it still isn't OK. My rear tire is a lot off centre (rim 521 & Dh 2.4, 70 duro). I mean the rim is exactly in the centre of the swingarm, but tire is a lot more on the left side ... so i had to recenter wheel ... Grip is realy OK, but otherwise I am wery diaspointed with Intense quality control.

the reason that your tire is off to one side is that the bead has slipped and rotated lower in it's retaining groove, either that or there is a manufacturing discrepancy in bead diameters.
inspect the inside of the retaining groove to see that it is uniform in shape, and undamaged.
This is a common problem on narrow rims, as the direction of force that is placed on the bead is more downwards to the rim center than outwards to the retaining groove.

Sometimes this problem can be rectified by changeing the tube.
If the tube's inner diameter is thick it often will not allow enough outward force to properly hold the bead. A high quality tube will have a very uniform thickness thruout it's construction, with only marginally thicker section at the inflation nipple.
lubricate the bead as suggested, (though I have found that soap/water mixes offer to much stiction, I prefer to rub a dry bead with bar soap, or lube it with auto tire assembly lube), raise the pressure above the normal pressure (but no TOO high as it will actually force the tire off the rim at extreme pressures), and then gently rock the tire into the bead retaining groove.
To do this you take the tire, wrapping your hands over the top, placing your thumbs against the rim, and while gripping the tire push with your thumbs and pull with your fingers, rolling the tire as high as you can take it (don't worry I doubt you will pull it past the groove), continue ALL the way around on one side, then flip the rim and do the same to th other side.

I hope that my explanation is clear, and good luck.
