Just got a new Intense Tracer as a present for our upcoming new rider in the family and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for set ups (shock etc)

Med Intense Tracer, XTR, Race Face Cranks, Fox Van 125 RLC fork (soon to be changed to other), Fox Float RLC rear shock, Thomson Stem and Seat post, 317 w/ ISO Kings and Hope Minis

195 LBS / 6 ' - Rider adv/Inter skill
So.Ca areas and occasional epics to Mammoth, Utah, Colorado etc.

Thanks for the info...:monkey:

That sounds pretty good. I wouldn't change much. I have one...full XTR...is about the only difference...that is one of the better forks for this frame.....you might want to consider a fox vanilla rl for the rear.....I am looking for one myself....here is a site you might like......http://groups.yahoo.com/group/intensetracer

Wow thats a great gift.

I wouldn't run a 5 inch fork though. A good 4 inch fork is what that bike is made for. I think 5 inches will slacken the head angle a bit too much.

I have a Psylo race which I love. I'm 180 pounds and I havent had any durability issues with it at all. A Vanilla or Float 100 would go great on that bike.

I have to agree with the 'chief'..as far as the travel goes.....that fork...if I am not mistaken..... can be adjusted to 100mm of travel. ....

Thanks for the info and yes it is a great gift! I'm lucky my wife supports my desire to ride and feels good stuff is needed because I use it...

Thanks for the set up information, my Fox is set already at 100MM (had a Chuck CR-FS frame break at seat tube and moved shock to new frame). Any information on rear shock set up (pressure/rebound) is welcome... Familar with setting up just want to get some baselines based on riders at my weight (195 or so):monkey:

Boboso,
I am also in your weight range....I run ....depending on terrain....between 155-165 psi in the rear shock.......you are going to love this bike....as long as you dont go too 'big' on it....hard to beat as an all around ride....
good luck
BTW....that frame size ....you will come to find...is totally dialed for your size....I have a small and I am 5'10"...I run a longer stem...could not fit better if it was custom!!!
