Hey kids, seeing as though Interbike will be here soon, I wondered; What do we all want to see most/least?

I want to see mainly boutique stuff.

I want to see pictures of the magical booth that will transform me from my current species to one that doesn't have to work or pay for parts, and has an endless supply of trails year round.

3.2 interbike bound??

i want to see friends from across the continent, oceans and other side of the globe. i also can't wait to see the flickering valve caps, cutting edge electric commuter scooters and the couple of motocross superstars who will slip in unnoticed.

I'd like to see real test ride comparisons between 6-pack, 7point, SX trail and other long-travel trail/freeride bikes.

Also comparisons between the new long-travel SC forks. Fox 36, Marzocchi 66 and The Manitou Shermans. There are so much speculation going on about them. A shootout at the dirt demo would be great!

I hope Acadian, PinkBike and the Hcor boys are covering the event. They did a great job last year!

CANE CREEK SHOCKS!!!
http://209.11.49.239/bicycleretailer/headlines/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1000643009

Joe sent me some photos of the shock and it DOES NOT look hokey at all. Considering Cane Creek is about a 5 minute bike ride from my office...that is interesting.

Does anybody know anything about this company Ohlins?

Ya I'm also interested in seeing what the outcome of this association will be. all I know is that Ohlins makes kick ass Motorcycle suspension :thumb:

On ahd BTW: dude you're signature is starting to cause me some serious mental pain!!!

I'll be there... what is the 6-pack? I assume that the SX is the Enduro SX...

where the trails are
as far as bikes go ...
The Turner Highline and Knolly V-tach are at the top of my list.
I'd like to see pics of the Turner (if it is even ready to show, doubtful?) and hear test ride feedback on that and the V-tach.

as far as parts go ...
isn't Brembo entering the hydraulic brake market? I'd like to see what they have to offer. On the brake subject, I'd like to hear feedback on the new Hayes elCamino system too. I really like the tool-free reach adjuster idea on the new lever. It makes so much sense I can't believe it took so long for someone to do it.

Ohlins: I know first hand that they make top of the line shocks for motorcycle and snowmobile applications, cars as well. Expensive stuff, but I'd guess that means there is plenty of $$$ in their company to do some serious R&D into a MTB product. Knowing how well their shocks work, I'd think they could be an immediate contender in the high-dollar range of shocks.

Come on ... can't you already see this thing mounted to your rig?

Those are the first things that jump to mind ... other than that I'm not super stoked about anything that I'm not already riding on! :thumb:

edit: I just re-read about the CC/Ohlins partnership on pinkbike ... add the CC Double Barrel rear shock to my list of things I want to see!

I'm excited to see the new Yeti DH bike. I've got no real expectations of it, but new applications of existing technology always interests me and I'd really like to see what it looks like.

Would like to see the Evil/E.13 stuff as well.

Other than that, there's not much new stuff that I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of, but lots and lots of bike porn is always a good thing...

NORCAL is the hizzle
I can't get there this year - seems I go every other year, which is enough vegas for me, but like echo I'm now wishing I could go, at least to the dirt demo which is what it's about for me...

If I were gonna hit it I'd be in line for the new Yeti DH bike (just because it's so damn groovy and different), new fox forks (dh and 36), other 6" single crowns (probably my next purchase), new Iron Horse rigs; Evil DOC (go DW!), Intense Uzzi/V8, new brakes from Hayes and Brembo...never been a Hayes fan but the El Caminos are looking pretty sweet.

Also wondering if SCB will show anything new, if we'll see something from Honda, and (along those lines) what are the latest drivetrain solutions.

And all the gucci road bikes too.

Dammit, now I really want to go.

Sweedish Ohlins have a wery good reputation in making top of the line suspension components.
If they use all their knowlage to make a MTB product, I think we can stay tuned!!

I will also go for that. But then it be would less fun and amusing, when you can buy all the parts you want. It wo'nt be something special anymore.

The photos I've seen don't look like anything hokey by far. There are about 15 up close shots from all sorts of angles and the thing looks SOLID. Only immediate problem I can see is the reservoir is attached to the body, so it won't get to go on my DHR....unless I work something out... :D :D

Not sure if this has been mentioned before, but they actually made some shocks for the Swedish made DH frame, CyclePro Octagon, a long time ago.

Nathan Rennie has some pics of the bike on his site: http://www.nathanrennie.net/bikes.htm

I hope you go to the RS booth and tell them how you feel about Boxxers?

In addition you could print all your posts from various boards and hand them your "Boxxer sux for dummies" book
