Cane Creek has dropped the long anticipated air version of the popular Double Barrel shock. There has been a few of the shocks floating around the show, here is one mounted up on a 2012 Knolly Chilcotin.

There is a BIG ol' thread on the DB Air over here, so check that out for all the speculation and discussion. In the meantime, here are some photos and Cane Creek supplied info.

According to the fact sheet, the shock will be released in January 2012, and its price will be comparable to the coil. While that's pretty high compared to others on the market, the Double Barrel provides accordingly. Between both low and high speed compression/rebound adjustment, air pressure and air can volume tuning, there's no shortage of dials to turn to produce the perfect ride. The air version will weigh in at 530 grams for the 8.5" by 2.5" version, and will go up or down depending on your chosen size. A nice feature about the shock is that the air can rotates to accommodate different frame designs, while maintaining the adjustability of a piggyback reservoir.

The shock will come in a wide variety of lengths, from 190 x 50mm all the way to 267 x 90mm.

The shock looks very similar to the coil version.

Rotating reservoir and all the adjustability one could ask for.
