Meh, buy Apple and pay 5 times as much for their proprietary stuff?
no need to buy. free if you already got a mobile device.
no own any apple products, see above post
Looks pretty. I didn't see a whole lot there besides "pretty" but fit and finish updates can be nice too.
I mean, okay, so multitasking now has screen shots of the app state, and there's a quick-access settings menu... a lot of the other updates are polish to the UI rather than functional. It's my understanding that multitasking will allow background apps a little more leeway, which is nice.
It's certainly a very attractive update, there just seems to be little below the surface.
Makeup on a pig.
at this point i find myself wondering if apple has painted themselves into a corner with iOS. what made it so great when it launched - at a time when touchscreen devices were not pervasive - was its simplicity and intuitiveness. nowadays the usage of a touchscreen device is common and accepted, and the features in iOS that made it simple are holding it back. Perhaps they're afraid of negative backlash resulting from drastic changes.
then there's this:
I'll admit that for many of the shiny new features (multitasking!), I couldn't help but think that I already had them...
this is the third year in a row that the new features of iOS were things android already had...
I owe you rep.
