I have all of the songs on my iPod on my Powerbook too, but I only have about 6-7gb though. I have a 20gb 3G iPod, but just got a new 30gb video, so I'll probably have to invest in an external drive to back the stuff up onto. My laptop only has a 40gb drive, so it's not really possible to back up my iPod on that. I'd hate to lose everything I have if my iPod goes down, and not be able to get it back again. Just happened to a coworker. His external drive died, and all of his music is gone...
