Does anybody know how to import songs onto your ipod from somebody else's library? A friend told me you put your settings to "Import Songs Manually" or something like that, but i can't seem to find this setting.

You can't. There is no setting.

They do that so you have to pay for music.

On iTunes, when the iPod is plugged in go to iPod Options on iTunes and then click on 'Import Songs Manually" and then it will not automatically update songs when you plug it in. This means that you'll have to do it on your PC as well in order for it to keep the songs that aren't on your library on the computer.

Getting songs on:
Just drag the songs you want onto your iPod in iTunes.

Getting songs off:
Download iPod Rip. Best program out there.

if the song is on the hard drive, i think you could also use add file to library.

and, i just want to say that itunes/ipod bundle is the biggest pain in the ass software i've ever used.

For apple users it works very well. For most of you PC users you can use various other programs with your ipod. Almost all jukebox or media programs support ipods.
