I heard from someone that you can send in your old iPod and they'll update it for around $50. Is this true? If so, can anyone tell me where to contact? On apple's site there are lots of different contact instructions but none for iPod questions and you've got to have an Apple ID.

Unfortunately, the deadline for claims was Sept 30, so you're SOL on that one...

What lawsuit settlement? I really haven't heard much about Apple, it's just my iPod is the original 5GB and it's dented with dirt in the scroll wheel. It's really long in the tooth so I thought, "hey, a new one for $50?!?"
