I run one of their rear cassettes...the PTFE coated one...It seems to work fine and is about 2 years old.

I do not know..I switched from Deore shifters to X7's and then bent the piss out of the Xt cassette and replaced it with the IRD so I did not run the IRD with the Deore stuff.

IRD cassetts are not brand specific, but the chains suck. I broke one on the comute home from the shop, 10 minnutes after installing it
