I went to the DMV today, or as I like to call it, Satans A$$hole! (Thanks Dane Cook) to get my driving Record. I got it back, and I have -10 points on it........

That seems not good to me. Especially because I have to turn it into work.

6 of the points came from one effin speeding ticket in Delaware. Stupio Delaware! The speed limit went from 45 to 25 and I got pulled right there!

Yeah, that's not good. It used to be in the state of VA, that if you have 13 or 16 points (I can't remember which) against you on your record, then your license would automaticlly be suspended. This is coming from someone who has lost their license a couple of times in the state of VA, stupid state troopers.

Doooooooooood! Scahhhhroooooooood!!

You know, they usually have these big black and white signs where the speed limit changes:

And if you hit the brakes - you can actually slow *down* to that speed. :p

yeah- ten is kind of bad. pretty bad. that's going to cost you on your insurance.

if you call up your insurance company, they'll probably be able to tell you how many points costs how much, and what the max in your state is. they'll also be able to tell you if there's anyway to take points off- like in some states if you go to driving school or drunk school it's a point off.

I got pulled over last summer for consumption while driving (yeah, that move is under "genius" in the dictionary). I passed all of the sobriety tests, so no DUI (in CA, not true in other states and legal in MT), but two fines (consumption + open container). I wanted to make sure I didn't get anymore points, so I called my insurance company. not only does the CA registry not report to the MA DMV (I have a MA license), but I had just gone out to california and hadn't told my insurance. the premium out here is way lower than mass, so the whole thing ended up saving me a boatload of money.

Man, 10 points?

Here in cali......

Per Vehicle Code section 12810.5a, a Class C negligent operator has

* 4 or more points in 12 months,
* 6 in 24 months, or
* 8 in 36 months.

You win! I only had mine yanked once for 6 months. Here's the kicker, though- being a complete dumba$$, I not only drove home from the courthouse after surrendering my license, I continued to drive on a suspended license and picked up another speeding ticket a couple months later(after just having burned a fatty, which miraculously went unsniffed). How am I not STILL in jail? I prepaid the ticket but paid a dollar too much. Nobody ever found out...not the judge...not my insurance company...not my girlfriend...nobody. After that generous serving of divine providence, I turned over a new leaf and stopped doing such stupid things. Well, except the time I got my shiite pulled, fined, impounded and escorted by Johnny Law for swapping my good tags onto a car that had expired ones. :devil:

well, each state is different as to how many points you can have. i had 12 points on my FL license, most of which were from stupid stuff on my Yamaha R6 :D and i was at the limit. one more point and it would have been suspended.

heck...it can't be too bad, if i had 12 points at one time and still became a cop :thumb: ;)

yeah thats kinda like replying yes to the airport personnel when they ask you if you have any guns, knives, etc.

Man...I have ZERO...ZIP...ZILCH...NADA...0...points on my driving record. And I make ALL of my calls on my cell while driving...and if I don't have a need to call anyone...I start looking through my phone for someone to call! :D

That's all right...we'll compare notes again in 6 months now that you have your license...I'm willing to bet that I will STILL have zero and you will have at least 4.

Wrong. Just because you don't have any marks on your record doesn't mean your a good driver. Weren't you the person who ****ed up her bike rack backing into something? :monkey:

I have 0 on my license, I was just recently rear ended at a stop sign by some girl in a honda. She wasn't paying attention, and hit me doing about 15 MPH and didn't do crap to my car.

With girls, when they get into accidents, it's becase they aren't paying attention. With guys, it's more they are too agressive.

In Mass, 9 is perfect but it takes like 34 points to get you license yanked.

The first time I was pulled over was at a detour where the speed limit dropped from 35 to 20. I protested it. Luckily, the picture I took told a good storry and I got off. I don't know if what I said was the truth, but it saved me $110 and points on my record so I don't care. I was a 9 until I rearended some woman this summer. :mad:

I got a speeding ticket for passing in a no pass zone and speeding (obviously), doing 60 in a 30. The ONE time I made a pass without checking my mirrors and a cop was behind me. And leave it to me, the cop that pulled me over was the biggest hardass in my town; the next day at school when I told friends about the ticket, at least 50% of them went "oh, he gave me a ticket before."

I couldn't contest it, doing double the speed limit could get your license revoked, so I considered myself lucky I still had it. Lost $400 thanks to the ticket though :(

But because it was my first ticket, I didn't go up any points. But instead of going down at the end of the year, I stayed where I was.

How do you mean? It's the truth. All of the accidents that the girls I know of ( including my mom and sister) got into accidents because they weren't paying attention.

Don't tell me to grow a pair asshat.

Saying chicks can't drive is stupid. I will venture to guess that plenty of these 16 year olds that know so much will pack it in one day. They will have plenty of wrecks and plenty of tickets. meh....nevermind

well, I turned in my DMV report to work yesterday, I'll probably find out if they'll let me drive today. I feel a little more hopeful, as one of the girls there has -6 points and is still a frikken FLOAT driver! (I work at Paramount's Kings Dominion by the way)

I got six points from one damn offense. Stupid Delaware!

i have nothing on my record. ive never been pulled over. and most of the times im like racing down 25 mph over the speed limit...i guess the cops arent there when im goin fast.
this one time i parked and i tried to push the brake, but i pushed the gas and ran into a tree. :stupid: no damage to my car, huge-ass square in the tree where the car ran into it. it was crazy

Ballard 4 life.
20 and an almost perfect record, with one ticket for not stopping for a pedestrian who was about 30 ft away. Gotten out of 2 tickets, one for rallying on a state park logging road and ending up in a ditch, and the other for going 40 in a 25, I told the cop that I thought it was the highway (I really did think it was) and he let me off.

Wrong what...Where did I say I was a good driver because I don't have any marks on my record? See now...who wasn't paying attention here? Maybe you should choose a college known for education instead of drinking...I think you've lost too many brain cells.
