Yeah, she is.

The first question is an attempt to tie in Karl Marx with "spread the wealth". You might try to demonize that kind of statement for fun, but not to Biden.

Then asking whether our days if a superpower is over. That is a total baiting question.

The TV station deleted the video. This is the youtube copy:

P.S. Biden did the complete interview. But those questions were asinine, so West is shut off.

A little "Gotcha interview"? Why is only okay if Palin is on the receiving end?

I love me some "Gotcha" interviews. Tell me, is it a "Gotcha" because your handlers didn't review the questions before hand?

Those questions sucked. By "spread the wealth", Obama's tax plan allows the middle class to have a chance to become wealthy, not take the money from the wealthy and GIVE it to the poorer people.

Man, some right wingers are idiots. Anyone who reads the plan can see it.

Gotcha on the Bush Doctrine?

Gotcha on what kind of Supreme Court decisions you disagree with?

Gotcha on what newspapers you read?

You understand there is a difference in content and tone between the questions that Gibson and Couric asked, and the health reporter/afternoon anchor for Orlando tying in Karl Marx to Obama.

Or maybe you don't?

Trust me, if Palin did the same bunch of interviews that Biden does, that Cheney did in 2000 and 2004, that every VP has done since the advent of TV, she would wilt.

I give an example: Rachel Maddow segment about the McCain/Palin problems

At 3:25 into the video, this is what happens:

Bt now, Sarah Palin is taking matters into her own hands and subverting the McCain campaign's decision. On Sunday, she deplaned in Colorado Springs and then immediately ditched her press handler, Roman holiday-style, to live it up with the media in an impromptu press conference.

The most entertaining part of this event is listening to Palin's purported spokesperson, Tracy Schmidt, trying her best to end the press availability. How many thank yous does it take to stop Sarah Palin from answering questions? Check it out.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

TRACY SCHMIDT, SARAH PALIN'S SPOKESPERSON: Thank you very much. Thank you. Thanks, everyone. Thanks, everyone. Thanks very much. Thanks, everyone.

It's funny you think just spouting off right wing talking points is any kind of 'gotcha'

Biden killed it.

And only a retard would think a question regarding the responsibilities of the job palin is running for is unfair treatment. Yeah man, that left wing media bias just going for the jugular.

What's the v for biker? "victim?"

Was she offered? I know that Barry was asked to do Hannity. I'm sure its on my Tivo somewhere.
Obama did O'Reilly. I think that is enough Fox for any campaign.

The bottom line is while this interview was hostile, watch the interview. Biden didn't duck a question. I liked his answer about Acorn, tying in McCain to them as well; his answer to Karl Marx was appropriate; and he also answered if Obama was ready to handle the first crisis.

I am waiting for a honest interview with Palin. Keep in mind that only one McCain advisor has been on the Rachel Maddow show, for a 3 minute segment. I doubt she could handle Matthews or Olbermann, or even Tom Brokaw.

I saw Brokaw ask a loaded question to Powell about William Ayres, and Powell answered smoothly and with common sense.

I have yet to hear Palin answer the same kind of question with as much grace.

It's funny to see how naive you libs are. Barry's sure kept his word WRT Public financing for the campaign. Do you actually trust what he says?

High taxes do not make rich people poor. They do however keep those in the middle from getting rich.

As for his "Plan", how much would you like to bet that he does not pull a Clinton? Like getting into office and within a few days, "Work as hard as I ever have", and fail to pull off the beloved promise of a tax cut. I will go one better. Your messiah will in fact raise taxes for on many more. I would be surprised if those who make as little as $50K don't have their taxes raised.

Sorry, but his numbers don't add up. 5% of tax payers make as little of $155k. This trillon+ of new spending, there is not enough money in the top 5%, even if you confiscate it all. Besides, if you end up taking it all, you can only do that once.

Hey, vibiker,

I noticed you don't answer the challenge in front of you. You duck and change the topic.

I wanted to know if you thought Palin is a wimp because she ducks interviewers like bullets.

You asked if Biden is a wimp, and we all watched the vid and he answered all the questions without flinching. How come you can't do the same?

You're a wimp!

And how is McCain keeping Bush's tax cuts going to fill the hole the W dug for us all? We all know how well they have worked thus far.

SJ, you are not living up to your signature. I am not avoiding any questions. Some of these responses just beg a reply.

No, I don't think Biden killed it. As for Powell's grace, he isn't running for anything. And besides, along with his "grace", he probably knows how many states are in the U.S. and how many letters there are in "jobs".

And no, Charlie G.'s question about the Bush Doctine was a bit unfair, as there is no single definition of it.

Sorry, I asked you what you think about Palin's limited interview schedule.

Here is a woman married to a Republican governor who father happened to run for VP. She thinks Palin is ducking the media.

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2008/10/15/MNSH13GQ45.DTL

California first lady Maria Shriver - whose father, Sargent Shriver, ran for both president and vice president - said she finds it "unbelievable, jaw-dropping" that Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin so far has managed to sidestep news conferences and Sunday TV talk shows.

P.S. I think Biden answered loaded questions he was not prepared for as best he can. I thought he did a great job, given the circumstances.

No stammering, no "I'll have to get back to you", no lying.

She's a Kennedy-clan woman. I don't really care what she thinks.

As for Palin's limited interview sched., I would agree that she was initially on too short of a leash. She was over-handled. But it is pretty clear that the MSM intends not to discredit her, but to absolutely destroy her. Imagine if one of the nation's most powerful woman was conservative. Kind of the way they went hysterical when one of the most important black man in America is also a conservative.

Wow, like Condi Rice?

She spoke at Shriver's Women's Conference. I would think Palin would do great in front of other women.

Don't you?

Sounds reasonable to me. The problem is that I was relieved of my Palin scheduling duties a few weeks back, I will have to defer.
Good to wimp out.

Palin is not qualified and she is an idiot. That's my take.

Prove me wrong.

I dont think the astute political observer Katie Courics interveiw was intended as a gotcha...I think it became one when idiot stick Palin couldnt answer some pretty basic questions that any reasonable individual shouldcancould expect a viable VPOTUS candidate with a history of international politics to be able to answer.

I am still having a hard time believing some in this country actually trust that woman and think she should be in ANY sort of power position. I wouldnt trust her to run a tanning salon. I cannot stand Hilary Cllinton, but at least she lets you know she is a bitch and doesnt try to hide it behind 150k of Neiman Marcus crap that some other poor bastard paid for.

Hey, she was the commander of the AK Nat Guard, and has a background in international trade through AKs trade mission w/ the Russians. That, combined with the education she received at 5 different schools, her PTA and hockey mom background will strike fear into international terror mongers and bad people everywhere...

No wait, it wont.

Not to change the subject.... but funny you mention a charity event. After your two guys give about 6 or seven bucks to charity over the last few years. Lots'o generosity and "big hearted-ness there.
Interesting, as Mr and Mrs McCain never fully released tax records, so who knows how much the guy who cant even tell you how many houses he owns gave to charity...

So you were responsible for her ducking all the hard ballers? Now we should see how she responds to a line of questioning a little more difficult then "So who does your hair?" "Is it true she makes more then Johnny Macs head consultant?"

Are you really hung up on that? Can you say "campaign expense"? She does not own those threads. What would your slam of her be if she dressed in LL Bean clothes? Funny how people ask why only insiders or "the rich" run at this level? And when someone does, and they don't match your political views, you can't just defeat them, you must destroy them.
And don't go the the inexperience mantra. Check this out
http://ibdeditorials.com/images/IBD_weekly_102308.mp3 Palin has much more relevant experice then Obama. But hey she's conservative, so take her down.

But she is common folk, and as such should be wearing the Cheryl Teigs collection from Wal Mare', or the JC Penne' sale rack...

And dood, no amount of GoP propaganda will ever truly convince any non frother that this second rate beauty queen wanna be has enough applicable and viable experience to be the (second?) most powerful person in the world.

I was on the fence as a registered Independant before Mac picked her. It took me about 4.7 seconds to realize that picking her was a bad move designed to pander to the religious right and disaffected Hilary-ites.
And now, a scant month or so later, she and Mac cant even get along.

There are laws against spending campaign funds on personal expenses. Does she not have any cash left over from the side deal she made on the pipeline or the bridge to nowhere?

The fact that more money was spent on her hair than policy advisers shows me where the priorities are.

"Thanks, but no thanks."

Back it up. $100. I win, you donate $100 to planned parenthood or the ACLU.

You win I'll donate $100 to whatever it is you're into.

That or just a straight cash payment through paypal.

I mean surely you can be confident about something you claim to be a 'fact' right?

You got me. Biden donated $995 last year. He is a scumbag.

P.S. He made $300k in 2007, which I bet doesn't go far in Senator circles.

Could you show me Palin's charitable donations?

John McCain's camp has yet to release Palin's tax returns.

Why don't you give me the money for a donation to "Decriminalize Prostitution in SF", i.e., I can hire a $100-a-night hooker to celebrate Obama's win?
