Both...

I studied this in a developmental Biology course in college.
The brain has areas of placiticty, and will allow some learned behavior and some innate. The amount of each depends on the area of the brain, and can change with time/age.

Overall, it is beyond quantification. We just have to acceps that it is both/neither.

A Sparrow raised with all grackles will know some sparrow songs and some grackle songs. Even though it has never heard any sparrow songs... it still can sing them.

Well, judging from the (not absurdly long) list of females I have had the pleasure of knowing, I'd say some of them learned gender behavior really well and some didn't do enough homework.

Just curious, what is exactly is gender behavior? Wearing pink (like the Pink Jersey or Cedric's pink bike), peeing standing up in the woods, or is this some sort of veiled homo question?

Yeah, that thought had occurred to me. Then I thought "Nah, I enjoy this subject. I'm doing my homework. I just wish I could get more homework."
