Is God really just an invisible friend for grownups?

Andyman - why must every post about god be serious? Why does this one qualify as "going down the tubes"?
Because it's not a ripe breeding ground for long theological posts?
Well yesterday afternoon it seemed like activity on this thread petered out - not that it wasn't "ripe" for one of my long discourses. I said that also because of the "Bible" thread that had to do with jurors and seemed to peter out as well.

One further note....................................it was an attempt at humor.............. :D

Thats a new record...Jews for Jesus only pisses off two major religions...
I frequent a Christian forum and the one "group" that catches more crap from Christians (because they are Torah observant) are Messianic Jews. They have been so picked on (for lack of a better term) some are hesitant to even chat with me "Mr. Hebrew" because I'm a Christian.

Anyway, their families have a funeral for them when they convert.

Yeah I feel bad for them.............

Oh drat - that thing I haven't a sense of yet....:p
I can be hard to "read" as well, most of the time I've posted on here has been serious - it seems in the last few months I've loosened up on here. I'll try to put a smiley after something if I'm trying to be funny, lest there be anymore confusion regarding my attempts at humor. :monkey:

Some people may say that they know God exists, they see his effect, etc.

How do you know that dogs can't see rainbows? Do they never look up?

and sometimes, when am really really hyper, the doorknobs talk to me! :)

but that isnt really a good argument for its existance...

How do they rate as conversationalists? (Compared to other items of door furniture.)

its quite a literate doorknob.. but seems infatuated with me sniping the people in the park thru my window and the book of mormon....
and has told me i will resurrect on the third day after the death penalty on me for the sniping...

i wonder why people cannot believe me!!!, its so vivid and validable for me!!!!
