It's not backwards masking, it's upside down deviltry!

There was one clear winner from Tuesday's Republican presidential debate, based on the simple metrics of name recognition: businessman Herman Cain's "9-9-9 Plan"....Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann even made a joke that referenced the mark of Satan from the Book of Revelation. "You turn the 9-9-9 plan upside down, and the devil's in the details," referring to the number "666"--the mark of the beast described in Revelation.

Including the most famous Mormon tea party-er??

i think you are giving too much credit. the tea party folks don't tend to research their bandwagons. (i.e. bachman, perry, and now cain; each one rising in popularity and then crashing gloriously). unlike romney, beck kept his religion hush hush for a looooong time. and downplayed it very aggressively whenever it came up. this go-around romney is being much more vocal about his religion. so my money is on those who don't research will still hear about it--in turn causing it to be a bigger deal. just my thoughts though; could be totally wrong.
