Is it me, or is it chainlove?

Why isn't chainlove kickin out the cool DH and trail/enduro procuct that they were a couple years ago? It used to be so hard not to buy things from them, but now all I see is lycra stuff, goo packs and the occasional Leatt brace.
Does the integration of hucknroll into competitive cyclist have anything to do with it, or are my compulsive checking-for-internet-deal skillz in decline?

Yeah, I've also been noticing that lately. Once in a great while they have something decent on there but not that often.

They merged bonktown.com (or whatever their roadie site was called) with chainlove, it immediately went tits up. I haven't bought anything from chainlove in months, whereas before it seemed to be a weekly shipment of some must-have item to my front door.

Whiskey Militia is still good though.

It's all still backcountry.com. I think chain love is just diluted with roadie stuff.

I saw a Trabec yesterday for $65. Not bad...

Try Bicycle Mob...same head space.
bicycle mob is trash. They offer like 4% off a $200 helmet and expect people to go in to buy the off-color, rare sized item. Yesterday they were selling a neon yellow OEM saddle for $125. Not a single person bought one. I have hopes, but they have to do something to attract the first few buyers.

SAC+Chainlove have been floundering lately as the same **** keeps coming up. It seems like Backcountry forgot why SAC was awesome- they sold last years junk that nobody wanted for 75% off. That let them pay nothing for the items and still profit. I used to buy so much **** from SAC, but now I buy one item every six months...there just aren't good deals, or they're on the same Cutter branded garbage time after time.

It is good that the deals on cool stuff aren't there- to a point.
I definitely became a sucker for their deals, I have two D2s that I got for $100, such a good deal, but now I have two D2 helmets...and I can only wear one at a time...

Not to mention randomly buying sunline bars for $20 bucks just because there had to be a bike somewhere in my stable, or someone close to me that would be able to use them!

Bumping this back up to add that there have been good deals on TLD shorts lately. I scored Ruckus shorts for $49 and Skyline shorts for $32. Ace shorts up now for $59.

not sure about their shorts, but their moto gp pants seem to run a teensy bit large, mine are a 36, i think i may have been better off with a 34.
yeah, I have a sprint short that's 34 and a bit small, but then I have a 36 in other brands and they're ALL too large. We'll see what happens, as I ****in' love tacos.

i got a pair of dakine's in 34, wound up exchanging them for the 36.

we should start a list sizing per brand, which ones (or even particular models) run large/small, and which are true to size.

I've always wanted to put something like that together. A large Nema jewel short fits totally different than a large fox short.
