Their CS is usually good, just call 'em and get on their case. On a side note, you may want to check your pivot tensions on your V10. I'm not sure if its the same deal with the V10, but the VP Free has been having lots of issues lately with pivot tensions. Here's whats going down in the assembly factories: Red loc-tite is applied to each of the bolts that tighten the bearings. When using loc-tite, you are supposed to immediately screw the bolt in and torque it. This has not been the case with VP's lately. On the assembly line, they have been waiting too long to screw in the bolt...the loc-tite dries, then when they get around to screwing the bolt in, the dry loc-tite falsifies the torque reading. Thus, many frames are coming under-torqued, and they are coming loose left and right. My buddies two-week old VP is a case in point. He took all his bolts out, cleaned out the dead loc-tite and re-loc tited, then put it all back together. Works great now.
Again, I dont know if this is the case with V10's, but it may be worth looking into before you ovalize something...

I like SC customer service. They are real nice and when you need help bad they will be very useful and good. Besides its a fender they don't work its not that big of a thing ot say their CS sucks...

I got my V10 back in June and I still haven't got the fender. Had the bike shop call several times over the last few months but no luck. I finally just made one out of some plastic. The bike has been great but the company has been a bit of a let down on the fender issue.

Actually, the CS is usually pretty good. However, they are going through a software upgrade and "have not been able to ship anything" for about the past two weeks (as I'm still waiting for my Roadster). They claim that they would start shipments again yesterday (Friday).

the SC customer service CAN be good...if they want.

i dealt with them before and it was definitely one of the biggest pains in the ass,but they did finally pull through and it was all worth it.it just takes a while for them to get their sh!t straight before they actually do any work. :p

don't get me wrong,i love SC bikes and always will, but their customer service isn't exactly top-notch IF YA KNOW WHATTA MEAN,EH!?

My experience hasn't been the best with SC.

Called them up when I switched to discs on my wife's 6month old Juliana and realized the rear IS mount was too low. I had to run a rotor 5mm smaller than what I should use with the caliper. They asked that I send it in. Since race season was starting I asked if I could do an advanced exchange, pay for a new swingarm and return the defective one when the new one was received. I was told it would be 3-4 weeks. After week 6 I started calling them weekly to check status. Each time I was told 3-4 weeks. 14 weeks later I get the rear swing arm and it's the wrong size. Call them back up explain the problem. They want me to ship it back and wil reimburse me for return shipping. 4 weeks later I get the right size (called them weekly again for status). Check my credit card and no credit. Call them back explain the situation again. They promise to credit me. This goes on for a couple more weeks. I draft a letter detailing every phone call and person I spoke to. Finally I get my refund.

Shortly after getting my refund my wife crashes and dents the seat tube. I call and ask about a crash replacement warranty on the frame. They want me to ship it in and tell me 3-4 weeks. Ask for another advanced exchange. Never received the front triangle and at this point really don't want to spend hours on the phone again trying. Frame is now in use on her DJ/4X bike.

The fender isnt there to keep rocks outta your face, its there to keep the mud from filling the shock.

i live in santa cruz and have had to deal with SC a few times. it really depends on who you talk to and when you call. you need to call them before 3:00 monday through friday. almost everyone who works there are fat stoners and leave early and are really stupid too. So good luck

yeah i ordered a vp free and didnt recieve it for like 2 months they kept making up odd excuses, oh its at paint...it was at paint for a good 3 weeks. took them a couple days to put stickers on. finally got it and the shop owner said that that frame had the call number for the gray one that he was supposed to recieve over a month before. oh well i got my trans blue vp free...i guess it was worth the wait.

no it comes from the hicks that live here. Yesterday I saw a 300lbs guy with a mullet faded jeans and a flanel shirt on over a white shirt with grease stains that said " I was made in America" :oink:
