WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Forty-six percent of white evangelical Christians believe it's at least somewhat likely that Jesus Christ will return in 2007, while 22 percent believe it's very likely, according to an Associated Press-AOL News Poll.

Thirty-four percent of all Protestants say it's at least somewhat likely, compared with 17 percent of Roman Catholics.

The poll was conducted Dec. 12-14 and is based on telephone interviews with 1,000 adults from all states except Alaska and Hawaii. The poll was conducted by Ipsos, an international polling firm.

Overall, 25 percent of those responding thought it likely that Jesus will return in 2007, while 67 percent said it is unlikely.

I had a dream last night that Los Angeles got nuked. If I was Jesus the first thing I would do when I came back would be to nuke LA. I must be a prophet. I should start a church, I could probably make a lot of money and score hot chicks.

There are always people who think that the world is worse off now than it's ever been. The fact that people lose perspective over this is pretty lame. Jesus ain't coming back any time soon, kids... Parts of the New Testament indicate a short term time frame for his return and people pull that into the modern day, forgetting it was written 2000 years ago.

I told the priest, don't count on any second coming
God got his ass kicked the first time he came down here slumming!
He had the balls to come, the gall to die and then forgive us!
No, I don't wonder why, I wonder what he thought it would get us?
Hey, hey, good bye
Tomorrow wendy is going to die

It baffles me that folks waiting for Jesus to return expect him to make everything right in the world...if they only realized they could start doing things today....D

I see a bunch of people around here with bumper stickers that say "don't worry gods in control". Um sure, can I light your house on fire and butt rape your wife?

Apparently Pat Robertson thinks that there's going to be a possible newkular attack on the US this year....cause he did such a good job on the US tsunami prediction last year....

So I guess Jesus will come in the form of a mushroom cloud. Kind of poetic if you think about it....:twitch:
