Riding past the morgue.
Nancy Pelosi as minority leader. Genius or Disaster? Discuss.
Personally, I see both sides of this. I think its great that she shoves sh/t down the throats of the republitards and smiles that creepy frozen smile while she does it. On the other hand, the right has done an amazing job of making her a pariah to the masses.

*Ernest Shackleton was the Captain of the Endurance, The most amazing survival story of all time, Edward Smith was Captain of the Titanic.

she makes hillary seem appealing.
Yeah - no matter her policy positions, she's got one of the worst images the DNC could use right now, and embodies everything the GOP uses to villify the left. While she might be useful for Obama's apparent triangulation strategy, she will be more harmful than helpful for the rest of the left in a high-profile position like minority leader.

You all must be fools if you think Pelosi is some kind of demoness.

The Dems made one mistake: pushing a HC bill which had no direct effect on economic recovery, which then became a big target for the conservatives.

Actually, that is enough to lose a majority.

Otherwise, she is just a consensus builder, not some sort of vicious harpy, despite what people think.

Evidence? She couldn't even build consensus within her own party, let alone across aisles or citizenry.
Actually, she built consensus within the Democratic party just fine. Public option? Voted for in the House. Revised bill without the public option due to Senate issues? Voted for in the house. Cap and trade bill? Voted for in the House. Additional jobs bills? Voted for in the House (and failed in the Senate). Health care for 9/11 workers? Voted for in the House (and failed in the Senate).

Republicans hate her because she's effective. And she's a woman.
