Is there a geometry difference btw. Stinky & Stinky Primo?

I know one gets 5" of travel while the other gets 6". Is it due to the rocker plate only or are there other differences? I thought I saw a difference in the geometry somewhere, but now I'm having a hard time finding it on Kona's site.

Thanks.

I believe the frames would change slightly, although I'm not sure, since I haven't investigated very far, and I don't say things for sure if I don't know them. If you have access to a Kona Catalog, you could find out there, but I seem to recall the Dee-Lux and Primo having a slightly different geometry setup than the Stinky.

I can't seem to find the geometry for 2002 bikes on the site either. The pdf file for 2001 stuff is there.... I do have a 2002 Kona catalog, so if you need numbers let me know. The bike shop gave it to me so you might want to stop by your friendly neighborhood Kona dealer.

I have a 2001 Stuff right now. I love that bike. My next one will be a Stinky for sure.

The plain stinky has a 70 deg head angle. the delux and Primo have 68 deg.

top tube length is different for both in the same frame size, as well as chainstay, wheelbase. The 70 deg head tube would follow along with a better XC design and the 68 deg would follow the engineering for better downhill. I have bikes with both 68 and 70 deg angles. I guess I'm not a good enough rider to see a big difference. I can ride either one as well on trails or down hills.

I did find one thing interesting at the rental shop where I had my pre stinky ownership experience with them. The plain Stinky with 2.3 Tiogas was 36 pounds. The Stinky Delux factory stock is 34.5 pounds and the primo is 38 pounds. The stinky delux is probably the best deal going with the component mix and the weight. That's why I bought the Stinky D.

It is a heavy bike but not unreasonable. It pedals smooth and can be made much lighter then it comes if that interests you. I'm certain I could get this bike to 30 pounds or just over with a few component and a tire/ wheel change. I don't really care about the weight I like the durability more!
