Is this a cause for concern?

I have found what appears to be damage to the non-drive side chainstay of my bike. There is a "cut" of sorts in the frame. It is narrow, and looks like someone started to take a hacksaw to the frame. I'm not sure if it is structurally damaging to the frame. Is it a cause for concern? Here are pictures.

It's hard to tell the scale of the the scratch in the picture. Looks like rock damage. Make sure to inspect it to be sure it doesn't propagate further.

I'd say It's about 4 or 5mm deep and almost a cm long. I'll be in Whistler from tomorrow through Monday, so I hope it doesn't expand while I'm there.

theres a penetrate dye thats red you can spray it in the chip crack or what ever and if its spreading or getting worse you'll see it cause red shows should be able to pick it up at a auto parts store.

In your pants
It looks more like something cause by impact, than a crack.
That's what I was thinking.

I guess you would know a lot about cracks, riding a Karpiel and all.

P.S. All in good fun, my friend. You have permission to slap the back of my head when you see me at Gnarstar later in the season.
