Riding past the morgue.
Bicycle sharing is "totalitarian" and "autocratic"? Jeebus, I don't think she knows what those words mean. She seems like a bitter, washed up, nasty old hag. Reminded me of my mom.

if you don't agree with it...of course it isn't journalism.

I also love the fascist connotations considering the NYC Bike Share program is 100% privately funded and run. If anything this should be a right-winger's wet dream, capitalism funded by user-fees and advertising by one of the world's biggest banks.

Huh?

I don't agree with a lot of things that I would still consider to be journalism, or at least worthy of media coverage.

A person using words she doesn't understand, describing a program she clearly has no information about or a clue as to how it operates, with no evidence for her claims whatsoever, or even acknowledgement of another side to the story, is not one of those things.

Also, just because it's labeled under "opinion" doesn't excuse it. It was an interview, conducted with the news organization's staff, with the interviewer essentially goading on the bat**** crazy woman.

Have you ever read the WSJ editorial page? It's been totally crazy for at least 10 years. Way before Murdoch bought it.

The all-powerful bike lobby...There aren't drugs strong enough to make me that stupid.

While it was conservative before Murdoch bought it, it's gone WAY WAY WAY downhill since. At least before it was all about making money and not spending any on the filthy plebs, now there's far more right-wing social engineering going on.

A coworker sent me this link:

http://tbogg.firedoglake.com/2013/06/02/those-bolshevik-rapscallions-and-their-blasted-velocipedes

Someone at the Wall Street Journal Home for the Liver-Spotted, Phlegmy And Smelling of Three Week-Old Baby Powder, must have left the bed-rails down again because Dorothy Rabinowitz, who is so old that she used to baby-sit Phyllis Schlafly’s mom, is standing on the lawn in her nightgown and shaking her bony fist at that young upstart Michael Bloomberg because he is ‘begriming” New York City Amsterdam with those newfangled dandy horse contraptions
Made me laugh.
