No matter what, NEVER EVER click on a link in these emails, even if it looks like it goes to the real paypal site. if in doubt, log into paypal in a different browser window (AGAIN, NOT BY LICKING THE LINK) and verify what is going on. By clicking the link, they can potentially see your log-in information even if they direct you to the paypal site. Be warned.

Edit: These scams can look completely legit these days. Scammers ahve brushed up on their English and web skills and the emails can look completely legit.

In some cases it can look like it goes to paypal, but the hackers can still get your info. Don't click on the link. Somehow they can do a weird redirection/insertion thing. Don't remember the details, just don't click on it.
