Called fox and he said NO! Never heard of it apparently and he says i can pay to get it fixed but there is no crash replacement YAY! And it was done with my bare hands. Was going to sell the fox and saw a crack in the arch kinda pulled the stanchions apart to see it and it snapped.

I did find out the fox 36 is all air fork with a nitro charge so its gonna be very linear though. Said Xmas but couldnt give me a price.

I've got the same fork broke the right drop out off it and they will not warranty it. They said i had the right setup for my weight but its still my fault for it breaking! i hate fox now, they want me to pay 150 for new lowers that they should replace. If it was my fault id pay up but a crappy mold job aint my fault. in mine you can see bubble everywhere, one bubble is 3mm.

MY NEW SAYING FOCK FOX FOCK FOX FOCK FOX FOCK FOX FOCK FOX

air bubbles where it snapped?? Holly crap thats lame... Andrew thats a nice broke fork, you shoudl run it anyways though, Im sure the internals are good. What i sugjest is that you drill a small hole on wither side of the cracked area and thread a zip tie through the holes. Maybe add some scotch tape over that for extra stiffness. If that doesnt work toss the fork in a fire to forge the lowers back together. Really andrew, its not a bad break, its toatally fixable.

Just tell them that it broke while riding down the street thats what i always say.
Yeah, that's original.

Mobius, that is lame they aren't warrantying it. If you ride hard enough (not abuse) to break a companies equipment, I think that shows that you are a serious enough rider that the company would want you to keep riding and promoting their stuff. Not rant about how bad the CS and warranty dept. is.

Never had a problem like this with any of the other shock companies. Fox is good about rear shock service though, they turned my blown RC around right quick.

How long have you had the fork? It looks like a older model. The warranty on fox forks is 1 yr from date of purchase with receipt from an authorized dealer. They very very rarely refuse warranties, especially without looking at it.

As for the cracked dropout on the other guys fork, i would hazzard a guess and say it is either due to an overtightened quick release or use of an 8" rotor on it. Otherwise, they would have asked to see the fork if it is still inside of it's warranty period.

and if duct tape and zip ties dont work they made hammers for a reason . beat the snot out of it once you get some money from the crown and other equipment. and isnt why manitou made that reverse arch so that prob like this wouldnt happen as often. ohh well man hope it works out for you and just dont get another fox. ohh and does anyone know when fox dc is comming out. jenson has the 05 stuff in but no 36 or dc. :(

if it was cracked why would you continue to break it? sure it was cracked, but the fact that you broke it with your hands is kind of stupid. And that fork does look more than one year old. The warranty is there ONLY to cover manufacturers DEFECTS not wear and tear and/or abuse.

Gotta love how biking is the only industry where you can expect the product to fail catastrophically within 5 years due to peoples complaints about weight, however they also are expected to "warranty" these things which are inherently going to break due to usage.

Warranty is about DEFECTS not products that break after 1-2 years of use. If that brike w/in 2-3 months yeah, warrranty, not a longer time period.
Ding Ding, if only everyone understand this man. BTW any luck with the boys at Truvativ? I left yet another voicemail this week.....

I heard of numerous stories of hoe Fox won't warranty many things that should be, leaky seals, etc. Sounds like they're in denial that they make mistakes. :mumble:

Hah i love how i'm gone for the weekend and everybody gets bitchy about fox. I was just making a post to show the pic of my fork. I didn't expect it to be warrantied as it was like 2 months outside of the year i bought it. And its an 03 for anyone wondering. No need to get all pissy about me saying it wasn't warrantied i didn't really care nor expect it too i told the guy straight up that i dhd a season with it. I did think it sucked when they said no crash replacement of any kind not even me paying like 100 less for a fork.

Oh well
Marzocchi.

Mmhmmm, so you can find cracks in your crown instead of your arch..
Too true... At least it was under 6 months that mine appeared in the DJ1. The boys at Norco took care of a repair for me.
