Well, my custom roadie frame is being built and I figured if I could find NOS of last years 105 9-speed, that'd be the most cost effective group, but I'm not having luck finding it.

Any suggestions on where to look?

Have your LBS call up some distributors. They tend to have most of that stuff for a while.
