It appears I did more damage to my xo than I thought :(

FRIGGIN NASSOHEGAN! This place is known for killing derailleurs and hangers. Well it got mine - SNAPPO! I walked out just happy it was the hanger and not my xo. Well today I went to reinstall it with a new hanger I poached from IABs old Quasi Moto hanging in the garage. So far so good until I start to look at my xo. At first glance it's just the pulleys - no big deal I can run to the shop and replace them by lunch.

then I try to remove the piece of the hanger that's still attached and I can't get it off - I realize it's wedged against something

can you tell what it's wedged against?

it's the b-tension screw....with the head sheared off!

I think I lack the tools and the strength to fix this one :(

BUT on the plus side, I had an old 9.0 in the garage so I WILL be riding today!

It looks like you can use a pair of needle nose pliers and slowly thread the B-tension screw out.......as if you were tightening it, but only from the back side. About 6-7 threads and it should come out.

Nassahegon has wreaked havoc on rear derailleurs this year for sure. Another guy in that large group had his busted off too on Sunday - maybe that'll bring you a little comfort MBC.

I'm glad you had the backup 9.0 to throw on there and I'm glad the derailleur hanger from the Quasi-Moto worked as well.

That frame/bike seems like it is yours and IAB's donor bike, but instead of giving blood, it gives up componentry! ;)
