Can't deny the similaritiesdang, so glad they are using bigger wheels and tighter fitted clothings these days, that looks horrible
Indeed! Still waiting for pics of pissed drunk monkeys puking in a garbage can though...This thread delivers the goods.
Wait, what? I thought here at the moneky we don't like skinsuits and hate wagon wheels????dang, so glad they are using bigger wheels and tighter fitted clothings these days, that looks horrible
In that case, you may want the original. Here is a pic of Me and Matt from the same race...
Haven't watched it yet?I liked the part where the people went down the hill quickly, in an exciting fashion. That part in particular where the person did the thing the fastest was very thrilling.
Hahahah, what an epic finale to the season. Bruni better make sure Harts drinking hand is never empty at the afterparty.Bruni owes Hart many beers.
I am sure those riders loves the flash. Nothing helps in dark technical sections like being blinded. But I enjoyed the pictures. Was really dark in the woods and continued to get darker. Tried a bit of flash.
Yeah, tried to not flash right at the eyes, but yeah - was the only way in those conditions... and a thing in those days. Folks used to set up remote flashes and other craziness. I hope they are over it.I am sure those riders loves the flash. Nothing helps in dark technical sections like being blinded. But I enjoyed the pictures.
Sorry then. I've seen a lot of pushback after some riders mentioned the jumps look scary and I might have been a bit grumpy since there is a lot of talk of never being critical of the builder or the track. The jumps weren't super stupid, just strange to hear pros get freaked about themUmmm, I don't recall ever saying the jump is easy? I think we are actually on the same page, so not sure why you're calling me out?!?
I said the jump is hard. the pros said so, so I believe them. but pros are pros, and will adapt. it's their mental fortitude that got them where they are.
that said, if a feature is legitimately dangerous, racers have an avenue for having it removed through rider reps to the UCI.
But as subsequent videos have shown, the racers seem to have adapted.
How often do they race a course hardly anyone has ridden before? I am sure they were nervous about something new more than anything.Sorry then. That was an awesome race.
Are all the monkeys there still alive and not passed out in a ditch somewhere? NTTAWW!
Also what's next in terms of races and events? Hardline and rampage....and then 2020?
They probably got deliveranced. Can’t believe we haven’t heard more from the folks attending. Expect a full report this week
They pointed out the jumps specifically. On courses like VDS, MSA or Champery the point out the speed, roughness, steepness etc.How often do they race a course hardly anyone has ridden before? I am sure they were nervous about something new more than anything.
In talking to them afterwards, they weren't worried about it...at all. Again, they were visually imposing at first blush, and like Westy said, the whole track was new to all of them except Neko, Dak and maybe a handful of other "local" guys. Hell, Danny indicated he wasn't inititially thrilled with the course after the track walk, then started riding it and ended up not only liking it, but winning the fucking race. They pointed out the jumps specifically.
