In a Van(couver) down by the river
I've had an interesting month.
1.) Finished a Ph.D.
2.) bought a SICK custom Sinister Splinter MX (last one ever made:love: )
3.) won my first DH race (OK-only 2 people in my class, but hey  )
4.) got a full expense paid trip to NYC for an interview
5.) just landed a job based in Vancouver that comes complete with a car and summers off (YEAH BABY!!):hot:

You could say this has been a good month.

Thought I'd share.

If you want a job at an insurance agency in W.MA, I know of an opening.
So there is a strong job market in that sector?

Depends. The job I got is with a publisher, not a university. The academic job market is strange becasue when everybody says it is going to get better, it doesn't. It is so specialised that if you do not focus on just the right thing at jus the right time, you are out of luck.

I can say that ther has really been no better time to study international relations and world politics than now.

No ****? That's what I did my MA in. Who are you working for in Van, if you don't mind the question. I'm curious, I know a bunch of think tank guys out there.

I like hearing about different careers. Just ignore me when my questions become tiresome :) Vancouver Washington or BC? What will you be doing for the publisher? Writing a column?
