I have never been to the park an earlier than 8:00pm. The skateboarders have never bothered me. I just ignore them, they say things trying to get a rise out of you. If they do not get a response they stop. I had to do the same thing to snowboarders when I skied in the park and halfpipe when skiers weren't allowed in.
I don't really give them any response just ignore them but for some reason they don't like to see bikes there....especially 26 inch wheels seems mountain bikers they hate the most. I just go to other skate parks. I don't know what they have against bikers I don't mind them. Oh well...
Anyone up for riding this afternoon(Tuesday)? I know the dirt jumps are nice right now but I have an urge to get the big bike out. I am off work at 3:00 and want to hit some trails. I have not ridden this area much any recommendations?
If I don't take the big bike out I am up for another good session of dirt jumping.
Yuppers. I dont really care for the skater kids; I just ignore them as well.
Denver isnt bad early in the AM.. like before 8am early. I used to ride there all the time when I was living downtown. I would show up about 6-7am and have the place to myself. I destroyed a Iron Horse frame there, tweeked the rear end so bad... never IH again.. ever.
I want to get out and ride some trails or DJ, but I am now the one stuck at work and hating it. I dont get off till 11pm.
Wed. planning on riding, but I will be on the trials rig. Mabye thursday we can plan a DJ session some place?
Thursday I am working, I might go out to Hall and do some runs on the last hill on the DH bike before work.
I just got back from Gunbarrel, a couple lines are ok but the rest need some work. By the time I warmed up and sweep one of the bigger lines the wind picked up. I could not get my speed right having a tailwind so I called it quits.
Now I am going to see if the wind dies down after dark and most likely go to the Denver park.
