Tonights ride was the first oneof the season , that started in the Dark. so Far most have at least started in the day light , not tonight .
so We were meeting at my House. CP and SloMoJo got there early be cause Both Had Flats that needed to be fixed.
here they are working hard.
my Son Riding down the road , Very bizzare , because the shutter stayed open for a few seconds , but the flash did its trick and froze the pics of my son. all in all a bizzare pic. I like it. so I 'm posting it.

In the woods we go. CP just getting up and over a Small rocky climb.

Well we were out a little over an hour when My Brand new Niterider HID started to give me some problems. Like it kept shutting off. we weren't o far from my house SO I told them to keep going I would head Home and meet them there . and sure enough It shut off , I waited 30 seconds and it was back on , went a little farther , off it went , Only this time it would not turn on! ( and of course I was not carrying an emergency light. ) so I diconnected the batteries waited a few seconds and re-connected , and the light came back on. wstayed on for about 30 seconds and off it went. again! ANd There was no Moon and no clouds and it was DARK !!! wekll I know this part of the trail quite well and I start walking it slowly , till my light will fire up again, it finally did , just before I had to cross the swamp , I got across and out of the woods , and shortly after I did the light went out , and I just road the rest of the way home dark on the road. at least I got over an Hour in before trouble happened.
any way here is the last pic I took just before my lights stated having problems .
