Ir's been dumping rain for the past 24 hours, 3" in the lowlands and 5" in the mountains accompanied by winds up to 45 mph. My new rain gear has kept me dry and comfortable (Frogg Toggs guide pants and Columbia outdry shell). Had a technical transport yesterday from one hospital to another for Surgery then take them back. The first Hospital RN taught us some techniques for managing the Trach tube airway mucous build up and gave us the equipment to do it (not something that in 18 years I have encountered) RN was way cool.

back to normal Dialysis transports today

Espresso and off into the dark I go. stay safe guys

~1250 mile drive across the country Wednesday and yesterday. I was following the storm that had hit Colorado on Wednesday night. Parts of I-80 in Iowa looked like a warzone with areas of dozens of vehicles spun out, upside down or jack-knifed semi's. But thankfully I had good road conditions for 1200 miles. Then it turned crap with 50 left to go. Thankfully arrived in once piece.

New brakes sorted out on the lightweight road bike. Lever feel is dialed but no riding until roads get clear. Much salt, abundant snow for southern new england.

I can't cook on a weber Q, they are the most illogical BBQ ever made.
It's weird that they can make such good traditional grills but the Q is all sorts of silly, it's what's wrong with the industry.

hello! Driveway is a complete sheet of ice. Rained last night then froze overnight. No salt in the area as it was all shipped south to the idiots in louisiana for their 2" of snow two months ago.

have to head into work for like 10 minutes. might suck but at least I will have done something today.

happy valentine's day!

I have that. You can't cook for more than two persons. Unless it's hot-dogs. But it's been perfect for 15 years, all original parts.

Happy Valentine's Day, sweet cheeks!!

I am in the office today to satisfy my two days a week requirement. That changes to three days a week starting in March. I'd bitch about it, but if you told me five years ago that I'd get a new job that is less stress, more pay, and two days a week WFH, I'd have signed up for that.

Three day weekend on tap!

S'posed to get more than a foot of snow tonight.
that system dumped on us yesterday. a little over a foot was the final tally. I feel like we are getting weak. they closed schools and shut down transit for this?! Boy spent the day skiing at our local hill, then fooling around in the fresh snow for his nordic ski practice in the evening. says he slept well last night! can confirm the snow was deep: had to break trail while out pond skipping. despite my skis being on the wider side of things (for nordic skis at 90mm at the tip), they are waaaay to stiff and perhaps mounted a little too far forward for fresh snow. they kept submarining. even face planted at one point going down a dip. skis were firmly embedded in the snow, but I couldn't push out caus' the snow was too deep. good thing I wasn't alone and one of my buddies was able to come help me out. it would have been a long struggle otherwise...

looks like we chose a good weekend to hit the Laurentians. Little ol' Mont Blanc should be fun.

Morning Monkeys.

WFH day due to Snowmageddon. Walkies was nice, though. Hank gets confused with the snow and it messes with his nose so he shits in the middle of the sidewalk for some reason. He's so weird.

Happy manufactured Hallmark Guilt Day frens. If today is the only day you appreciate your significant other then you are probably not in any danger of getting a spendy anniversary ring from me. Up next a French Press then…?
