so wnet to the specialist today. he works with sports related bone injuries annd specializes in hands. the radius bone was completely broken off. 2 plates, some screws/pins and maybe a little bone grafting. one of my wrist bones is broken all to peices lookine at plates, screws and pins. also my arm bone has a liner fracture by my wrist area, screws. go into surgery monday will stay overnight and possibly end up with one of those exosceleton type braces that goes throug skin and attaches to the bone to stailize it. here are two pics from the night it happened people that know what they are looking at will appreciate these.

Looks just like my momma's wrist...and I'm not joking. :) She had a bad spill on Roller Blades many years back, had the full porcupine effect on her bed for many weeks with a nurse that would come visit to take care of her.

The Xrays made me sick, and neither of my brother's could deal with it. She still has all the scars on that arm and spent a long time in PT.

Good luck...and take care of it...you're in for a fun ride.

That sucks man. Dont worry though I was out for over 4 months and once you are back on the bike you completely forget about the down time.

There are some positives... not in any particular order
- You can practice drinking with your left hand
- There is porn on the internet these days
- Its like a whole new woman
- It is an easy ice breaker with the ladies
- You get immediate pity points from said ladies.
- good excuse not to shower

I hope you did not suffer any nerve damage. Lotso' nerves run through the wrist and you could have seriously ef'ed them up.

That sucks big time Ben......just keep in good spirits man and the down time will move by fast....
Speaking of that, I had a minor wrist injury that kept me off the bike for 2.5 months......during that time is when I really learned to unicycle just for the sake of being on some form of wheel(s). Let me know if you'd like to get one and I'll cut you one hell of a deal through the shop given you current circumstances. It sounds kind of funny/stupid but that dumb unicycle helped me pass a lot of time that otherwise would have been spent inside feeling sorry for myself.

Welp sorry to hear the bad news, but lookin at it people could tell that it wasn't an injury you can just "pop" back into joint and be good to go.:p
Give her some time and do what the doc tells you to do and next thing you know you'll be right as rain.....

Do yourself a big favor and avoid getting dependant on the pain medications - that's a real nasty trap.

That's rough, man.

Know what, though? You're a sissy and mine is worse. :D

you might be worried about getting hooked on the meds, but it won't heal as well if you're in pain.

I've been on some grade-A **** for 2 weeks straight and I can quit any time I want! :dead: :dead: :dead:

i was and still am on meds for my wrist, but most of the time i'm to lazzy to get up and take them, that i just get used to the pain, and learn with it, so dont depend on meds to take care of it, depend on yourself... it works. :)
