So I thought I might as well have the frame...

I've been wanting a full carbon frame and want something that can climb, but I can try some crits on next year. This seems like it may work. I have some other options, but really wanted to give this a go. It'll get my Sram bits and some 404s for racing.

Woot!!!

Now you just need to find something to actually climb.

Roll up North next weekend and ride this route, mountain momma century. It's a nice warm up for the Blue Ridge century a month later with a few thousand more feet of vert.

I'd love to do that route, Westy. I did one that was completely flat, less an over pass, on Sunday. I did it so Julie could do a century, but it was pretty lame. I don't have thousands of feet of elevation, but it's far from flat here.

Looked like y'all had some good rollers. I have a love hate thing with rolling hills, they hurt. I would actually like to do a perfectly flat century with a handful of solid riders, the sheer speed would be fun.

Nice bike by the way.

I've got a new frame headed my way, too.

As well as a deposit down on some new Campy.

And another new frame headed my way after Interbike.

I need to stop spending money.

What fun is that? I will have two ones to replace some older ones this year. One custom painted, I'm really looking forward to that. Hang some Super Record on there and call it porn.

Those Lapierres are pretty cool, I still always think of them as alloy/scandium frames though, probably because the paint scheme on the team frames is the same as it's been for a while.
Nice to have something you don't see very much of out there!

I was planning to come to Nevada City for a week, James, but the wife's new job opportunity has kind of thrown a wrench in the gears, so I am getting a new frame/fork and heading out west to the Texas Alps. I was hoping to get out to join you for a ride. Next year.

No worries, you know where to find me! Don't even have to worry about bringing the roadie, I'm sure I can find something around here with the word Colnago on the downtube for you to ride...

Just make sure you get white bartape and saddle for the new frame... :)

Anyone heard of/ Ridden this century[plus some]?

http://www.deathride.com/index.html

I knew a few folks that did it and it was supposedly the most epic ride they had ever ridden . it was freezing, then hot, then one mountain pass was fogged in, another had hail on the upslope, with a wicked fast descent into a valley with a scenic rainbow above. There was a rest stop before they descended, and a few of them insulated their jerseys with paper towels to keep from freezing on the way down lol. Oh and not to mention one of them did the whole thing on a Singlespeed !

Crappy cell phone pic, but I'll show it now. More to come in a day or two. 16 lbs as she sits.

Bar - Deda Newton Deep in 46
Stem - FSA OS140
Post - SLK zero set back
Saddle - Airione
Wheels - Zipp 404
Crank - Force
Rear - Force
Front - Force
Calipers - Rival
Shifters - Red
Pedals - RXE Carbons

I think I'll get a different stem one day and some Red calipers and build my Masi back up with Rival. This will usually roll with Bonti Race Lites and clinchers. That will add a bit. I am also building a Power Tap wheel next week.

Terrible, terrible picture, especially since this is such great bike porn! Please rectify this as soon as possible.

Also, you need one of the white FSA OS115 stems! :)

I'm a bit embarrassed to say that the dingy tape may still be there when I shoot some decent shots. I'd agree on the stem if I had a white post. I thought I would use lots of white, but like the red on it. It is stupid snappy. I've only pedaled a mile thus far, but this thing is gonna kill it. I promise good shots tomorrow.

FSA makes a white post too...I've got the white setup on the 555...

I really love that frame, you did a great job with the build, let's hear a ride report!
