Let me be the first to say "booooo."
"Back problems."
Whatever, I guess I've lost all faith in the guy. Maybe he'll prove us wrong in July, but I'm not sure.
And no my boy Vino is gonna have some problems showing us what he can do...

Yah, I just heard that. Hmmm, maybe it's because he's going to be implicated in the Spanish drug fiasco?

Not to take up for him because I’m about as big of as I am of Bod3, but he wasn’t really in this race to win or really even to finish.
If he ‘is’ having back problems it’s better to bag now in the closing stages than to torque up his back and possibly ruin his tour bid.
No matter what his back condition for the tour I still think basso’s the man.

What?!?!? And he gave up his hundredth thirtieth place?

Doesn't matter now. Lets see what he does in the Tour!

I fully realize that. But honestly, his season started super late with "knee problems," and there was big talk about how if he finished the Giro, it'd mean he was super-ready for the Tour. I seem to remember his guy Rudy saying something to that effect, but I'm too lazy to look for it.
Maybe he's just bummed that his Spanish doctor got busted with his chemistry set...
I was a huge fan, especially when I worked for his bike sponsor, we all would gather around the big TV in the conference room and watch the tour. But when he got passed on the Alpe D'Huezl TT a couple of years ago, it was hard to watch.
He shouldn't always be a favorite if he's always slipping.
Maybe this year he'll prove me wrong, I hope so, I would like to see him win another, to shut everyone up, but I just don't know if he has the killer instinct. I always rooted for Jan, but he makes it hard to do.
Go Floyd! I liked him back when he raced for TWP...

Ullrich takes second Tour de Suisse title
Stage win sees German overhaul Gil and Jaksche

Jan Ullrich received a morale-stirring boost prior to the Tour de France thanks to his victory today in the Tour de Suisse. The T-Mobile rider started the final day's time trial third overall, but he was able to overtake race leader Koldo Gil Perez (Saunier Duval) and compatriot Jörg Jaksche (Würth Team) after literally a storming ride in the 30.7 kilometre test, averaging over 47 kilometres per hour on the demanding, rain-splattered roads between Kerzers and Bern.

I can't believe it - the guy starts doing races in May-June to "get in shape" for the Tour in July, and to lose weight.

What a waste of talent - how great would he be if he was as fanatical about training as some other guys?
