When these kids grow up and go on to bomb abortion clinics, will Christians still try to say they aren't as bad as Muslims?

And, the guy who said that they aren't indoctrinating the kids, WTF? What else would you call it?

Watching that chick on that show was one of the funniest things I have ever seen.
i hardly ever watch shows like that, but i happened to catch it - who doesn't like a good train wreck? i couldn't look away. i was hoping to find out she was a liberal operative being coached, but no such luck. it was even better than

ok, just picked up the independent during lunch, and they featured a review of the film. a very good friend of mine works for focus reviewing video games at their spin off site plugged in magazine. i'll ask if they're due to review this. they're pretty good about getting around to all the pg-13 stuff.

I don't tend to watch "reality" tv either, but I saw it on the internets and then MudGrrl and I happened upon it one night during a rerun. So we watched it and laughed our a$$es off.

THE Palouse
She was on some trading mommies or trading spouses type "reality" show on Fox. I think it's worth it to link the video again.

Wow. I'm not sure what else to say besides, wow.

The content of this thread deeply scares me. It has me seriously concerned for the future of America if these are the types of irrational, unwavering, faith-driven radicals that are showing up in droves to the polls on voting day.

and just what do you think they think of you?

that is to say, if our country is one that is made great by the contributions of the many (this is the argument of diversity which has merit), who is anyone to marginalize a particular sect, however distasteful? and make no mistake: as a christian, i find this woman thoroughly repugnant. her fear of interacting outside of her circle (or in her case "globe") breeds hatred. that's not the behaviour modeled by the jesus i know.

if anything, be glad she's been exposed for 2 reasons:
1: christians can feel shamed & embarrassed (rightfully so) to the point of reform
2: a lifestyle you may embrace becomes more accepted when squared against this mouth-breathing mastadon

if christians want to lead our country, create a model to be desired for our society, and be respected, we need to stop doing silly things like making our own vernacular ("god warrior", "dark-sided", etc.), which in a not-so-subtle way demeans & judges, yet at the same time demands mockery. this is no better than urban-slang which replaces a usable vocabulary, & is isolationist (see: ebonics).

there's another monkey here - andyman_1970 - who can elaborate better than i. i just came out of a year+ retirement a couple weeks ago, so i don't know what he's been up to.

Problem is that this person is anti-diversity and anti-pluralism. This person would have you believe as she sees fit or else. Same as the people that put on the Jesus Camp.

Andyman has been gone for a while now. I don't know if anyone knows what is up with him.

Edit: His last post was on 6-27.

Well said. I saw the apple.com trailer, it scared me. I grew up in a Christian home, and I go to a Christian university... I know all too well the realities of that kind of Christianity. They've turned spiritual warfare into a 'themselves against everyone else' mentality by cutting themselves off to the world, and that is just scary. It denies that all life is sacred and claims that the battle is with others, not the evil that is in our own hearts. Personally, the phrase "spiritual warfare" makes me sick. For many, the wars in the Middle East are a Holy Crusade against the God hating Muslims, not a morally repugnant war against the poor and the opressed. It's a hypocritical and violent term, and all too often is put into reality.

I wonder where Andyman is too...

as promised

please take the time to read it with the understanding this group depicted in the film is not mainstream christianity. when you get focus on the family to do so much as admit this, it should be duly noted.

Sweet, ship them and the fundie Muslims off to antartica and let them go at it. Then the rest of the world can live in peace as the Jihad/Crusades rage in the land of ice and snow.

People can believe whatever they want as long as they don't force it down everyone else's throats. In my mind, this includes your own children. These people are no better than the Racist parents who force THEIR ideals down their children's throats and create white supremacits 12 year old wanna be singers who don't belive Bakersfield is "white enough"(ugh).

The only thing those parents are doing is trying to force their children to believe that they are righteous and everyone else is evil.

holy ****.

brainwashing at it's finest. but most likely condoned by 60% of the population because they are learning "what is right and what is wrong." this video just confirms my belief that pretty much every religion ****ing sucks.

I just got around to watching it and I was blown away. The little mullet kid who thinks he's a preacher at 11 is crazy.

I had to cleanse myself with American Hardcore. I got them both on Netflix, good thing too.
