Well, thats about how I figured he would react... he's like bush... stay the course. I guess thats a popular conservative method these days? I feel like this a lot when I'm discussing things with conserv. people... its like, "Okay, we just discussed that, and facts prove your argument to be incorrect... why are you still pushing an argument that you know to be worthless?"Silver said:A little more on Carlson (If I was droll like N8, I suppose I'd call him Fvcker Carlson after reading this...)

NPR and CBS have more than two talking heads punching at each other for half an hour. NPR, especially. CBS, not nearly as much as NPR, but at least the news is better than a pundit show.Damn True said:Anyway, that carlson fuhker irritates me. I know people who watch that famn show and get a lot of their political opinions from it... its pathetic.
How is that any different than people who listen to and formulate their opinions based on what they hear on NPR? Or CBS?
People who listen to NPR are better informed than FOX viewers.Damn True said:Yer right, NPR is usually just one talking head.......way better.
Stewart wasnt just talking about the two tools on Crossfire. He was talking about the media in general, all of them, regardless of network. They have ceased to report news and are now attempting to influence public opinion, to push their own agenda.

I thought we dealt with that a year ago or so?
Page 15 is interesting...Damn True said:How do you figure?
In both cases the the viewer/listener is getting a biased, heavilly spun, decidedly one sided view of an issue.
Sooooo... if indeed the facts prove your argument to be incorrect, WHY WOULD anyone be stupid enough to keep pushing the argument?golgiaparatus said:I feel like this a lot when I'm discussing things with conserv. people... its like, "Okay, we just discussed that, and facts prove your argument to be incorrect... why are you still pushing an argument that you know to be worthless?"
I think they are otally different. On 1 hand you have a person who hears the news report and formulates their own opinion based on what they hear has happened. On the other hand you have a person that bases their political opinions on the arguments of heavily biased partisan slant machines.Damn True said:How is that any different than people who listen to and formulate their opinions based on what they hear on NPR?
