mine keep squeaking when i brake and ive been trying to get them to stop. any advice on how to fix that?

Usually it's the pivot that makes a slight squeak when the lever is pressed. A little bit of silicone around the pivot (give the bushings around the pivot pin a douse).

While you are at it, check so there is no excessive lever play, you may have to change the bushings to make it really silent in this case.
