I reciently built up a new rig and was gonna order them... and the bike shop said they were hella expensive and looked like they would break (as in discintegrate) easily... so I bought Juicy 5's and ordered dangerboy levers instead... and it cost me half as much...
The shop said they look like they would break, and you went with that advice? Is this one of those shops that thinks all carbon parts spontaneously shatter when it gets chilly?
I only have a short ride on a set but they feel great. It's just too early to tell how the levers will hold up long-term. I will speculate that the levers will break rather than bend in a crash (like aluminum), but it's gonna take a hell of a smack.

How do you like the Juicy 5's? I'm ordering some for my hardtail, just wondering what you think of them. I'm getting '06s for $110 with a 6" rotor (rear) and $125 for an 8" (front). Do you think I even need the 8" front? Back when I was DH'ing, 8" rotors were the only way to go, but I'm building a light freeride/trail HT. Thanks.
