Off Craigslist. Lower-end components, but rides pretty well. What it has going for it is it's condition - barely ridden.

I just took the bike out for a spin this morning. I rode a combination of paved and dirt trails (singletrack), and herre is my impression.
This is no surprise, but I would say the bike is just adequate. It's a heavy bike, and you feel it. Everything held up, but I would not call this bike nimble. However, that is reflected in the price.

for 100 bucks is a great starter bike

For $100 you got a great starter bike. As parts wear, you can shed a little weight with lighter replacements or save up your pennies for a lighter frame or bike after you ride the wheels off this one. Either way, 
yeah the frame looks tidy and pretty decent
