One thing about riding on intercollegiate teams: they're clubs. Anyone can join. Once you start racing, you can race any category(A,B, or C), reguardless of your category outside of college. You can also be sponsored/on at team while doing collegiate races. Good luck! :thumb:

Not always the case. MOST are "clubs" the way I think you are meaning but not all are open to anyone, nor can you always decide where you are going to race. This year our team staff and coaching advisors will be helping place riders in appropriate categories, A, B or C.

Also, depending on what college you go to, you can't just enter a collegiate event. Your school needs to have an NCCA recognized organization, usually a club sport team. Club sport teams are typically the teams that do not qualify for "varsity" athletics but are more than just a "club" ours for instance gets funding from the state (not much but hey its something) we have to do community service, collect dues, and meet several other requirements. Clubs at our campus don't have to do crap, get the club approved which as long as its not the pornography club, you'll get approved, they give you $50 and tell you hot damn you are a club.

Another thing, depending on the conference different rules apply but for the most part I believe it is an NCCA rule that the largest logo or text on the jersey you wear during a collegiate race is that universities, no sponsors logo or text/name can be larger. So again, it all depends on how the collegiate cycling team is setup at your university.
