I just got in from a 50mile road ride. As I was coming down the hill to get home I was doing around 35 or 40 when I got to the light. I had the green light. There was car waiting to turn. He just sat there so I thought he saw me coming. Well he turned in to me at the last second. There was nothing I could do. He just stoped at the last second missing me. I have had a lot of close calls but nothing like this. A 40mile an hour hed on crash with a car would have been really bad. Im a little shaken but I should be ok. God I hate road riding around here some times.
Just had a vary scary close call with a car.

I had a car do the same thing to me about 7 years ago - the chick stopped right in front of me though - I jumped as I came to the car (I was doing about 35) my bike slammed into the side of the fender and somehow I landed on my butt on her hood and skipped off the other side, leaving a gigantic crater in her hood. My bike hit hard enough that it literally ripped one of my bar ends off at the weld (hey - this was 7 years ago, don't laugh at my bar ends...) The woman who got out of the car was hysterical for about 5 minutes, I literally had to hold her up - she must've thought she killed me, fortunately my butt just hurt for a few days.

Kind of strange about 10 years ago less then a block from that light I had a Neon pass me and then turn right in front of me. I caved in the side of the door and trashed both of my knees. This would have been bad. The angle was so close I would have hit head on just about. The A hole in the car waited till I was right there to start to turn.

My close call was 30 miles with one fast ass dude and a chick that is a cat 2 racer that owned me.
