In our Paramedic school class about report writing. They were telling us to watch what we write because your report is a legal document and how it can be used in court. The instructor was giving examples of acronyms and inappropriate words used by fire departments.

Urban Outdoorsman - a homeless guy

F.D.G.B. - Fall down go boom. ie "Patient reported FDGB."

L.O.L. - Little old lady

Tachylordy - This was accompanied by an explanation "Medical infliction whereby patient has a 100+ Lordys per minute" aka Lordy,Lordy,Lordy,Lordy,Lordy,Lordy,Lordy,Lordy,Lordy,Lordy.

Bradylordy - Medical Condition whereby patient is lower than 40Lpm
ie.. OOooooohhhhh LooooooOOoOOOOrrrrddddyyyyy."

FLD - face like dog - this one was actually written on a patients chart by a doc, the acronym was discovered in the heat of the courtroom.
