yeah it's a rear wheel too so the fork can be spaced out for those 4" tires.is that a cog on the driveside of the front wheel?
Exactly - it doesn't look like he's sitting in a McDonalds does it?At least, he is riding.
At least, he is not some fat piece of sh$% sitting at home watching TV and getting fatter.
Gotta give him some props.
No, but he probably just came from one or is headed there. hahahaExactly - it doesn't look like he's sitting in a McDonalds does it?

RESPECT !i remember seeing that guy in a pic on nsmb i think. they said in the caption he rode up to the top and then back down when all of the magazine guys were taking the shuttle up.
edit: http://nsmb.com/shore_news/dirtdemo06_2.php he's about a quarter of the way down the page.
Are you kidding? With tires that wide he could ride through peanut butter and not sink in. I actually wish I had that bike about 10 years ago, where I lived had a lot of deep sand on the trails, I couldn't get tires wide enough.I'm surprized he isn't sinking into the ground leaving deep ruts or hasn't folded the frame. haha
Yea Big John was super cool. Whatever happened to that guy?I know big john used to race out here in utah hella nice guy, could put the beer away too.
Surly makes that bike for sand and snowy terrain. It clearly works for big guys too.that guy put a lot of thought, effort and $$$ into getting a bike built up that was functional for his obvious physical state.
you know he probably destroyed a few frames and numerous parts along the way.
he didn't give up.
He's test riding a stock surly that comes that way at interbike.if you think about it.

i'd be willing to bet his fun level is right up there with the rest of ours.
