it's a down 'beam'that down tube is somethin crazy
drat! that was fast!it's a down 'beam'
just messin Zedro, I think it's a helluva design
Actually, if you look at the linkage design, there isn't any real travel.does it lock out?
You can run a 24 x 4.32 or a 20 x 5.56what tire size can I run in that frame
Notice there's no pics of the head tube?didn't that frame crack at one of the welds?
Um...does it even pivot?Actually, if you look at the linkage design, there isn't any real travel.
yeah, uhh, I was joking.Actually, if you look at the linkage design, there isn't any real travel.
It's all just bolted and beamed and the shock is totally unconnected to any load...
Hell, it was just for a term paper, anyway...
Nope.Um...does it even pivot?
You can run a 24 x 4.32 or a 20 x 5.56
Although we did try a 26 x 1.75 but it rubbed on the floater arm on off-camber turns...
(nice to see you, shocktower! been a long time!)
Dude!!! How you been? Hope all is going well for you now. Thanks I thought ,I miss ridemonkey ,and all of the fun stuff
A) Yes, though not well - I sent him some of the bearings the rigid back end used as mounting hardware [he was supposed to write something on the frame like '...and Nobody helped!' but he's a Francophone, so I was just happy he didn't kick me in the 'nads...Jesus, the mad professor and the mad chef know each other?
Anyway I love looking at that thing.
EDIT: If I squint, I can see a gearbox in there somewhere.
So is that a 9 speed seat height adjustment?A)
B) ....there's a Gearboxx in there to adjust seat height.
9 x 2 = 9 height and 2 nose angles.So is that a 9 speed seat height adjustment?
Honestly that rear supension design is probably only 2-3 degrees from beig fully functional. It looks like it could be made to perform along the lines of the Mountain Cycle Shockwave.
Yah, but I think the brace on the swingarm started to crack and he couldn't afford to fix it.
Are you serious?
The whole thing is fully functional. Zedro's been riding it for, what, a couple years now I think.
Quite likely the weirdest thread hijack i've ever seen...What the he!!?
Yeah, it's actually their new Urban MotherHucker Series. The whole back end is adjustable for different head tube angles and with the 236-point mounting turnbuckle assembly [you can see it at the bottom of the frame] you can fine tune the Effective Chainstay Length by the micrometer.Isn't that the new Sinister Passion?
But where are the speedholes?!?!Yeah, it's actually their new Urban MotherHucker Series. Interestingly, the speedholes are in the Headtube [which is actually a Headbeam, like the rest of the frame - which reduces 'steering flop' considerably and allows the bike to track a straight line like a hot razorblade through a puddle of coco-butter] but since the Headbeam broke off while casing a flight of stairs in "Le Stade Olympique" - Montreal's Olympic Stadium - now an open-air skate park with extra potholes...But where are the speedholes?!?!
...and good in cocktails, too...Mmmm, coco-butter...
