Yes, there are lots of "this is the coolest video ever"...but what is this forum for but talking about this stuff. I liked it and wanted to "discuss" it.

The Ft. Williams finish area was the most retardedly fast, high speed jump section I've seen in a while.

The segment showing the run-in and finish of Mt. Ste Anne made my stomach drop. That jump was such a huge step up at speed and the last turn to the finish got me pumped!

Finally, the final segments showing the muddy Worlds course and the series finals in Kaprun & LUgano were humbling. When you see the top pros in the world just wadding it up, falling on their faces and flipping out of control on such a steep pitch, you realize how SICK those 2 courses were.

The video drug a little in sections and there was WAY TOO MUCH "this rider riding Whistler...then this rider at Whistler....then that guy at Whistler..." but all in all, it was really good. Definitely glad I got the DVD to skip over a few little segments, but all in all, it does a fantastic job of raising your heart rate...

Sometimes videos don't do justice to the freakish speed of a National or World Cup race, but this one did. Plus they weren't afraid to show "hot chics dancing", my favorite aspect of a Crusty video!

Yea it was sped upa bit, but i think that he was just trying top compensate for the fact that stuff always looks slower on film, no matter what.

The idea i can respect i guess, i just think he did it a little too much.

Yeah and the first 5 minutes of 50cc stuff was funny, but the last 20 minutes of it just was too much. :(

My favorite section of the whole movie was the Bromont and Vermont stuff. 'King of the Pits' is great.

Def. one of my favorite movies :thumb:

I loved how it was longer than 30 minutes and was full of great race footage. For the sake of being a nit-pick, the only thing I wished it had was footage where there's either no music or it gets quiter so you hear the riders whiz by with their chains slapping and such.

The other thing I really dislike is that it makes me want to go ride a ski resort :p and Plattekill opens May 1st...... must find some extra $$ to take a trip!!

still a helluva movie tho! but the speed up was a little disappointing.
I didn't notice at first either. I remember being totally humbled and saying to myself how I'll never be that fast. Then I saw the trees moving at light speed, and realized what was up.

I'll still never be that fast though!!!!!

I have watched it so many times I have picked up on the fact that when Rennie talks about his UCI vest with Sam Hill his sentence is backwards.... Excellent I believe is the word your looking for is...

My wife caught that one. My two kids love good race vids ( girls 3 and 6 )... No more saturday morning cartoons kids its Earthed again!

Oh thank the lord! I'm glad somebody clued me in on that....

I've put time in on the mountain at one time or another with a lot of those guys on Snowshoe, DeerValley & Mt. Snow and was honestly a little frustrated. The thing that was throwing me was their timing in certain sections. I've seen those guys go down a mountain at full tilt in race runs and it wasn't adding up.

I know I've lost a step but some of the linked turns they were making I had never seen. It had me thinking I was fooling myself when during pracitce riding with those guys.

Without a doubt though...Kirkcaldie ripping the left line in the Yard Sale section at Vermont and then gapping to flat over that last boulder into the grass....are the 2 biggest pulls on the whole video!

also that section with this dude just rolling a BMX track by himself? dunno about that section either...
i thought that section was pretty lame at first. But give it a few more looks, its one of my favorites now! That kid is nuts, notice in one of the opening shots hes switching his pedals up on every jump? And dont forget the pegless nose bonk on a tree in the dirt! That and how insanley fast he was pumping through that crazy concrete bowl with the nose manual/manual around the lips. You know youve got a good movie when your still noticing things after watching it 10 times!
I also liked the sections of minnar after winning and rennie, really gives you a feel of how sweet it must be to acomplish that.

so its okay for every other huck shot in NWD to be slowed down so it looks like the guys are getting more air, but its not ok for a DH shot to be sped up a bit? Its a 2 way street.

i'm not too much of a fan of the nwd series, either, but i find slow-mo footage less annoying for some reason. there's less of a chipmunks-on-speed factor, shall we say... i like the footage real, like in "the circus". or even in "clappin' yo dome" :D

I still dig Trans Con 2. Video just flows really well. To bad I can't get it on DVD. My copy is worn out:( .

Earthed is not the " best vid eva! " but for the most part it flows really well and the music for a change is great. Best part about it is it gets you stoked to go ride!

Oh, by no means is it "best ever"...like I said, I liked it.

Best ever still belongs to Transcontinental. Race footage/rider interviews...results of each event at bottom...names of the riders ripping by...goofing around here and there..can't beat it.

2 years ago kirkaldied gapped OVER me at that rock. He had seeded slowly due to the weather and wanted to go early. I had seeded slowly uh, cuz I'm slow.:p

word, transcontinental rules it.
I like the race footage in eastern standard 1 a lot too as far as giving you the feeling of 'being there'.

2 seasons ago I was at the yard sale when you came through(riding for Orange) ...It's gotta such when 20 guys are yelling "Haa Fraser....go Frasssserrrrrrr.....whhhhheewww....Fraser...."

One person saying my name out loud has caused me to eat it several times...:p Too darn distracting.

As for Gracia...totally surprising to see how retarted he is outside the races...smoking cigarettes...no wonder Stephan Girard didn't like him....the anti-French frenchie

in europe, cigarettes are considered a vital food source.

i'm still amazed (and very pleased) that ireland managed to go smoke-free in all pubs and restaurants.
