We're kicking off the 2024 Secret Santa! Exchange gifts with other monkeys - from beer and snacks, to bike gear, to custom machined holiday decorations and tools by our more talented members, there's something for everyone.
Someone dropped off a K2 Funky Monkey at LBS; kind of tired, singlespeeded, only a rear rim brake, 16" frame, 03 Zoke Marathon S, e Thirteen bash guard, Truvative crank on drive side, god knows what on the other... Took it home "just to look at it".
OK, help me identify the fork. It's Marzocchi, S/N T03D0806, I'm thinking a Marathon or a Bomber, but teh Google has not helped too much. I let the air out and seem to be able to compress it about 90 mm if that helps.
Measure the stanchions, most likely they are 30mm. It's probably an open bath system. Old Marzocchis are silly easy to work on. You'll need a seal kit and some decent fork oil like, Golden Spectro, Torco (Rockshox), but not Finish Line.
