Which would you suggest, i own the 2005 manitou sherman flick plus already, but, wouldit be a upgrade or downgrade to get the 2004 marzocchi z1 50FR, i have the 20mm lowers on my flick, and it is 4 inches, or 6..

the reason i am thinking baout switching forks, is because i bottom out my flick, so i need air assist, which is why im thinking the marz z1 50 fr, or should i put like, 7 WT oil in my fork and add a bit, would that work? i havnt had it serviced, so it might jsut be low on oil...

I would keep your flick, you can put in heavier oil, which makes a huge difference in stiffness, or heavier springs.

I'd tune the fork you've got before taking a loss on it to get something else that might not perform any better out of the box.

From my limited experience with sherman forks, they are really progressive, if you're bottoming hard then you probablly need much heavier springs.

keep your fork and tune it for you. Air assist is a band-aid IMO. I can see using 2 or 3psi to prevent bottoming but even that affects the damping performance somewhat. Go to 7wt oil and a stiff spring. Do not go over 7wt though, Manitou claims it's too thick to flow through the valving properly. Of course if you only ride street/trails the air assist is fine but for actual mt biking it's no bueno.
