Yep... ol' Kerry hasn't done anything at his job in the US Senate in months... There currently is an Ethics complaint under review...

You failed to mention that the repubicans have been stalling votes when Kerry has made trips back to DC so he could not do his job. Just more BS politics.

Yeah... like what votes were those..?

And exactly how hard is to be a Senator when you don't even have to be in Congress... ever... if you don't want to..?

see what happens when you sling mud... perhaps we should mention that Bush took more vacation days than any other president in history?

No, we shouldn't cuz that's just fvcking stupid as is the crap being tossed around by Kerry.

Partisan -- both sides -- politics is the problem.

Sen. John Kerry broke away from a Western presidential campaign swing Tuesday to return to the Senate for a vote on a bill guaranteeing funding for veterans' health care. But the Senate's Republican leaders delayed the vote. Critics call the move a partisan attempt to prevent the Massachusetts Democrat from voting on a proposal to help one his key constituencies
I guess the liberalmedia buried this story so you could not cut and paste it.

Politics *is* the problem, except that the Republicans hold the power in the house, senate, and white house, while the dems hold nothing. That's why I'm voting for the challengers, the dems. If the role was reversed, and the dems held 100% of the power and the country was in the shape its in, I'd be (and have) voting repub.

I would like to see a dem whitehouse and a repubican Congress or vice versa. Having one party control both just swings the pendulum too far to one side.

He said that the current admisistration isn't doing a good job so he's looking ot replace them... and he further elaborated that he has done this in the past regrdless of which side was in power.

Of course we all remember Sen Dole RESIGNED to run for the presidency...
Then maybe Bush should resign while he runs for re-election :eviltongu

Actually I agree - He needs to resign, however not until he formally accepts the nomination. Did Dole resign Before or after the national convention?

thanks, maybe next time I'll t y p e m o r e s l o w l y s o h e c a n u n d e r s t a n d i t . . . :thumb:

was pissed in '93 when house/senate/presidency was in the hands of the dems, and they tried to push everything too far to the left. a nice divided government where nothing gets done or passed without a whole lot of compromise is the perfect style of government. :D

The only difference between the Dems and the Repubs is the lies they tell us.

Honestly, we all really know what's going on. These are a bunch of rich guys doing exactly what big business and their other financial backers tell them to do. After all, why would anyone spend millions of dollars to get a job that pays 400 grand a year unless they are planning on taking it back in other ways. Hell, not even your vote for the pres counts. All you are voting for is the electorate... and they can vote for whoever they want.

If you really want to make a difference you would have to vote alot at the local level, and sadly, get involved by running for an office yourself. Anyway, I am getting off on a tangent here. Just my 2 cents.

No, I am not one of thos kids who thinks that "anarchy" is cool, or some green party hippie. I am just a pissed off citizen who has too much time and a soapbox. :mumble:
