As I work with computers I write everthing down in notebooks. Now I've got a ton of notebooks and can't find anything. This pen records what you write on special paper (covered with tiny dots) and does an impressive job at handwriting to text conversion. Everything you write in these notebooks is loaded to your computer to a searchable format and can be converted to Word format.

It's mostly aimed at students as it plays MP3 and helps with homework but this notebook storage feature is very valuable to me.

I've bought several gizmos to help with work and have been disappointed but this one shows genuine promise. A business version is going to be available early next year.

my teacher at school has a smart board that is supposed to take his handwriting and convert it to text. never works out right. if you were doing it word by word it may work out but it usually takes a whole page of writing and thinks its just one word.

This works much better than that.

It keeps track of which notebook you're using and records the text and drawings you make page by page.
