just wondering if anyone knows anything about the 05 DH frame from KHS. I they've had a bad rep in the past but I've heard the 05 is actually the M1 frame. is this true?

I heard the consumer frame was more like the Azonic Eliminator, and the Pro race team had the FSR rear end... maybe both Astro TW made, or maybe the pros ride is a rebadged M1..... The insert catalogs in the mags didnt show any in the catalog, although the cover shot was someone racing DH. gotta love that.....

There are some KHS team guys that ride at BC and their bikes are obviously built at the same factory as Azonic. The last one i saw had a burly front end with ovalized tubes and a Eliminator 2 rear end probably 150x12.Elminators are really pretty nice riding bikes,I would imagine the KHS will be a good value too.Compare prices with the new Azonics before buying.

Weren't there some sea otter pics of a KHS? If I remember correctly, it had an FSR rear. I'll try and dig them up.

Damn that thing looks burly.

You win nothing because we all wanted to see what rear shock it has...

doesn't the FSR setup have the pivot on the chainstay? wouldn't that frame essentially be a single pivot?

edit: I didn't realize thats how the azonic frames are already. iether way that looks like a much nicer setup than their old DH frames.

KHS probably doesnt want to pay for the use of the horst so to sell the bikes in the US it has the non horst rear. Their race pros however can have horse rear bikes, and thats whats been seen at some big races.

Azonic pays to use the horst rear. But they also offer the eliminator for the value minded guys.

ewwwwwwwwwwwww those wheels noooooooooooooooooooooo
What are you talking about?! Those wheels are awesome!!! So light and so tough...it's like they're made from some sort of extra-hard aluminum that will never dent or flat-spot.

Oly and Rhino they will be in the PNW soon enough from what I am told. Also from what I am told the Azonic FSR rear end should bolt right onto the KHS main with no mods if that is what is desired. This frame design pre-production has been out at SST off and on most of this year but most peeps have not noticed. :)

This looks kinda interesting. Seems like KHS finally decided that their old DH frames were complete pieces of junk and did something new. It would be fun to try out one of these so that i could compare it to the sh*te DH-50 i was riding last season.

Freddy there is no comparison. The old C'dale linkage sucked. The new frame will also have a 150mm rear hub spacing.

Krispy had it right.

That pic with the raw frame is an 04 pre-production frame, but the bike pretty much stayed the same. The 04 Team frames had a blue front around the ht that faded into yellow as is moves back about 1/3 of the main frame.

My rides semi-pro for KHS and he loved the new frames for 04 and the 05 will be the same frame, maybe different paint scheme. It's a nice bike, but nothing special.
